outside

Outdoors & on the water

Private sandy beach, boathouse, dock, fire pit. Northern exposure, quiet bay.

the beach & dock

Shallow sandy entry for kids; deep water at the end

The shoreline is sandy and gentle, with a shallow entry that small kids can wade into without worry. The dock is generous — enough room for chairs and towels and a few people sunning — and the water gets deep at the very end, where it's perfect for diving.

Upper-deck dining, lower-level Bunkie

the boathouse

Upper-deck dining, lower-level Bunkie

A boathouse with a spacious upper deck (table, loungers, room to dine), and a 'catwalk' bridge across to the main deck. Inside at water level, the Boathouse Bunkie sleeps two — the best room in the cottage for the sound of the lake at night.

Plus a secondary outdoor dining table that seats four for breakfast under the trees.

Two kayaks, a SUP, a paddle boat, and a boat port

on the water

Two kayaks, a SUP, a paddle boat, and a boat port

Bring your own boat — there's a port and generous dock space — or use ours. Two kayaks, one stand-up paddleboard, and a paddle boat sit ready at the shore.

On the lakeside, for the very long evenings

the fire pit

On the lakeside, for the very long evenings

Ringed with seating, oriented to the sunset. Good for storytelling, marshmallows, and the very long evenings of a Muskoka July.
